1. Where exactly is the resort located?
The resort is sitauted at Gashbari Lower Primary School, Kashasila, Morigaon, Assam - 782411. It sits minutes from Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, with the Brahmaputra River on one side and open farmlands and floodplains all around.
2. How far is the resort from Guwahati?
The resort is approximately 50 - 60 km from Guwahati, roughly a 1.5 to 2-hour drive depending on traffic and road conditions. The nearest railway station is Jagiroad, and the nearest bus stand is Jagiroad Bus Stand.
3. What makes this resort different from other hotels near Pobitora?
Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat & Spa is one of the few eco-conscious properties in the Pobitora region that combines wildlife access, Brahmaputra river views, Ayurvedic spa treatments, and farm-to-table dining under one roof.
4. Is the resort suitable for a Guwahati–Pobitora itinerary?
Absolutely. The resort serves as an excellent base for exploring both Pobitora and Guwahati. Key attractions including Kamakhya Temple, Assam State Zoo, and Assam State Museum are all within a 35–50 km radius. Guests can cover the highlights of the region during a 2–3 night stay.
4. Can I visit Maa Kamakhya Temple from the resort?
Yes. Maa Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati is approximately 48 km from the resort, making it a comfortable day trip.
About Rooms & Accommodation
1. What types of rooms are available at the resort?
The resort offers four room categories: Safari Room with Balcony, Tea Garden Room with Balcony, Safari Brahmaputra River View with Balcony, and Tea Garden Brahmaputra River View with Balcony.
2. How many guests can each room accommodate?
All our rooms are 323 sq. ft. in size, comfortably accommodating either two adults with one child (below 5 years) or 1 Adult + 2 Children (below 5 years). Please note that we do not provide extra beds.
3. Do the rooms have river views?
Yes, two of our room types – Safari Brahmaputra River View and Tea Garden Brahmaputra River View with Balcony – offer direct views of the mighty Brahmaputra river from private balconies. All other rooms feature overlooking natural surroundings.
4. Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, all rooms at Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat & Spa are equipped with air conditioning.

1. What are the dining options at Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat and Spa, Pobitora?
Baan Kahi is the signature multi-cuisine restaurant at Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat & Spa. Its menu is inspired by the land and culinary legacy of North-East India, featuring authentic Assamese and North-Eastern specialities alongside international, Mediterranean, Indian, and Asian dishes.
2. What are the restaurant's dining hours?
Baan Kahi is open for all three meals: Breakfast from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Lunch from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and Dinner from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
3. Does the restaurant serve Assamese food?
Absolutely. North-Eastern and Assamese cuisine is central to Baan Kahi's identity.
4. Is private dining available?
Yes. The resort offers a private dining room at Baan Kahi that seats up to 15 guests in a refined, culturally inspired setting.
About Spa & Wellness
1. What is Nirban Spa?
Nirban Spa is the on-site wellness facility at Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat & Spa. It offers a range of Ayurvedic therapies and treatments inspired by both classical Indian wellness traditions and indigenous Khasi healing practices.
2. What are the spa's operating hours?
Nirban Spa is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
3. What types of treatments does Nirban Spa offer?
Nirban Spa offers Ayurvedic treatments, including Shirodhara, Abhyanga massage, steam therapies, and personalised wellness journeys. Treatments draw on Khasi indigenous healing traditions alongside classical Ayurveda.
About Events, Meetings & Private Celebrations
1. Can the resort host weddings and events?
Yes. Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat & Spa has a 6,000 sq. ft. open-air lawn that can host up to 200 guests for weddings, pre-wedding functions, product launches, and social gatherings.

About Wildlife Safaris & Experiences
1. Does the resort offer Jeep safaris to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary?
Yes. The resort organises guided Jeep safaris to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, which is just 4 km away. Guests have the chance to spot the iconic Indian one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffaloes, deer, boars, and a wide variety of bird species.
2. What wildlife can I expect to see near the resort?
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, located just 4 km from the resort, has one of the highest densities of Indian one-horned rhinoceros in the world. The sanctuary and surrounding wetlands are also home to wild buffaloes, deer, boars, and over 375 bird species. The Brahmaputra River near the resort is a good spot to see the rare Gangetic River Dolphin during boat safaris.
3. What is the boat safari experience like?
The resort offers an evening boat safari on the Brahmaputra River, which includes a strong chance of spotting the rare Gangetic River Dolphin. The cruise is followed by a relaxed riverside high tea, making it a memorable sunset experience.
